Banshee technology shows a great potential to improve indoor positioning

BANSHEE project is designed to provide smooth indoor and outdoor positioning.
The technology developed for this purpose is based on GNSS signals as well as the RTT data provided by Wi-Fi routers which support 802.11mc protocol.
First tests conducted in ROKUBUN's office with the use of the Pixel 4 smartphone (receiver) collecting range measurement from multiple RTT providers present the general stability and consistency of the signals.
It shows that data smoothing and filtering will need to be taken into account in order to achieve the desired accuracy, but the technology has a great potential to boost the quality of indoor positioning.
